An itchy hand/foot eczema with tiny, deep “tapioca-like” blisters on the sides of fingers, palms, and soles.
Triggers
- Stress, sweat, heat, nickel or other metal exposure (jewelry, keys), detergents, frequent hand-washing.
Symptoms
- Itchy, burning blisters that can crack and peel.
- Flares last a few weeks; can recur.
Care at home
- Cool compresses; thick moisturizers after washing.
- Avoid known triggers; wear cotton liners under waterproof gloves for wet work.
Treatment
- Prescription steroid creams/ointments (often high-potency for hands/feet).
- For frequent flares: phototherapy or medicated pills may be considered by your clinician.
- If infected (very red, painful, oozing), seek care.
